| Profile | Dr Baron has been part of The Dept of Trauma & Orthopaedics at King’s College Hospital since 2005 and had on-field experience as Team Physician Millwall FC 1985-94, England u18 SFA 1993-98 and Blackheath Rugby Club 1995-04. He sees dances from English National Ballet. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine [AOSSM], European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy [ESSKA] and Gesellschaft für Orthopadisch-Traumatologische Sportmedizin [GOTS Germany], the three leading Sports Medicine Societies in the World. His post graduate training in USA and Europe includes regular attendances at leading Sports Orthopaedic Congresses and he has contacts world-wide. He has presented research papers including an award on PCL injury In Madrid 2004.
He has used the KT1000 arthrometer in the assessment of knee cruciate ligament injuries since 1992 and works closely with orthopaedic surgeons and physical therapists. He teaches at all levels of Medical Training. He is sport-active as a distance runner [1/2 marathon weekly] and advanced skier. He played soccer and tennis. |
