Profile

Since 2000 Eli Silber has been a consultant at the Kings Regional Neuroscience Centre and at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, London.


After completing his neurology training in South Africa he worked as a senior registrar at Charring Cross Hospital. This was followed by a period of research at Guy's Hospital investigating the immunology of the causes of disability in multiple sclerosis. 

His general neurology commitments include outpatient clinics (headache, epilepsy, Parkinson's Disease), and inpatient consultations including input into the stroke unit. 

He set up and runs a nationally recognised regional multiple sclerosis service. This comprises a clinical service, teaching, and research into novel treatments and the holistic care of people with MS. 

In addition he has an interest in high altitude medicine, in particular the causes and treatment of high altitude headaches.
