Dr Guy Chung-Faye is an experienced Gastroenterologist and General Physician.  He specialises in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Cancer and Advanced Endoscopy. He is friendly, approachable and offers a holistic treatment approach to patients.

His main areas of interest are Cancer, Screening, Genetics and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He is Clinical Lead in Upper GI (oesophageal & stomach) Cancer and Bowel Cancer Screening at King’s College Hospital and a member of the IBD team. He is a nationally accredited Colonoscopist in the Bowel Cancer Screening programme and has a high colonoscopy completion rate of over >95%, high polyp detection rates and high levels of patient comfort.

He was awarded a PhD in “Gene therapy strategies in Colon cancer” in 2002 and has published in numerous peer reviewed journals and written several book chapters. He is active in research and clinical trials in IBD and genetics.

His main NHS base is at King’s College Hospital, a London Teaching Foundation Hospital and Academic Health Sciences Centre. He sees private patients at London Bridge Hospital and at King’s College Hospital.  He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology & European Crohn´s and Colitis Organisation.
