| Profile | Jeremy Sanderson is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospital and Senior Clinical Research Fellow in the Nutritional Sciences Division King’s College London.
He qualified in 1984 at Charing Cross Hospital and undertook his Post-Graduate training in London and Australia.
He was appointed Consultant at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospital in 1993. His major interest is in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis but other specialist areas include colonoscopy, endoscopy, oral disease and the irritable bowel syndrome.
His research interests include the genetics, microbiology and immunology of Crohn’s disease and individualised medicine. He is a regular lecturer on IBD and has published widely in this field. He was secretary of the British Society of Gastroenterology from 2001 to 2005. |
