| Profile | Dr Meenan helps patients from both the UK and abroad with a broad range of problems ranging from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), concern about risk for bowel cancers, to oesophageal acid-reflux and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
He has a particular interest in advanced endoscopic techniques including endoscopy, colonoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
Dr Meenan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, London, where he is Chief of the Department.
He qualified (cum laude) in 1986. He has maintained and built on his skills by intermittent attachments at international centres in Japan, France and Germany as well as attending/presenting at international meetings each year. He was awarded a prestigious “Teachers” award by the American Endoscopy Society (ASGE) in 2007. |
