Dr Paresh Mehta
Dr Paresh Mehta is a consultant cardiologist working at University Hospital Lewisham and St Thomas’ Hospital since 2011. He trained in general medicine in North-west London and achieved membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2002.
He completed a 3-year period of research achieving a Medical Doctorate (MD), in the field of heart failure, at Imperial College London and The Royal Brompton Hospital.
He completed specialist clinical training in cardiology and heart failure at Harefield, Royal Brompton and St Thomas' Hospitals and received a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2011.
Dr Mehta was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2015. He works as a full time consultant cardiologist with a specialist interest in heart failure, cardiomyopathy and heart rhythm device therapy including implantation of implantable heart rhythm monitors, pacemakers, defibrillators and biventricular pacemaker devices. He also participates in regular teaching of hospital doctors, general practitioners and medical students
Dr Mehta works has a specialist clinical and research interest in heart failure, cardiomyopathy and heart rhythm device therapy including implantation of pacemakers, defibrillator and biventricular pacing devices. His general cardiology clinic incorporates a wide range of conditions including coronary artery disease, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension, arrhythmia, syncope, structural and valvular heart disease.
