Dr Phillip Harrison is a Consultant Hepatologist with a specialism in Endoscopy. His areas of interest include Hepatology; Liver disease; Non-alcohol related Fatty liver; NAFLD; Abnormal liver tests; Liver fibrosis; Fibroscan; Primary liver cancer and Hepatocellular carcinoma. He currently works at the private practice at London Bridge Hospital and his current NHS post is at Kings College Hospital.
Dr Harrison qualified in medicine from St George’s Hospital Medical School in 1984. He completed a Doctorate of Medicine in 1992 from London University and a PhD from King’s College University in 1997. He became a Member and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1987 and 1997 respectively.
In addition, Dr Harrison is interested in research regarding immunotherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma and he has many professional publications. He also received the GR Giles prize for Hepatology award in 1994. Dr Harrison is also a well-respected author and lecturer, and a globally renowned Hepatologist with a worldwide patient base.
