Consultant in Sports Medicine and Pain Medicine

Dr Usamah Jannoun

Dr Jannoun is one of the few in the UK elected Foundation Fellows of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine and is a member of the International Spinal Intervention Society . He examines and appraises Sports Doctors for the Faculty and is the Sports Faculty’s representative for the Southeast of England promoting all types of sport and exercise for health.

He has worked with sportsmen and recreational athletes for over 18 years in the UK and abroad (Switzerland, Germany, Bermuda) and brings with him a wealth of clinical experience. A keen sportsman himself (club level tennis, windsurfing, skiing), his interest lay in Back Pain and Sport and Exercise Medicine. 

His practice in London focuses around specialist assessment and novel treatments for back pain and sports related injuries. As a UK certified doctor in musculoskeletal ultrasound, he regularly uses this fast and accessible examination tool when assessing sports injuries. He has also trained in the USA in pain interventions used to treat acute sciatica and back pain. Dr Jannoun sees patients ranging from the recreational sportsman to the international athlete.
