Mr Alwyn D’Souza is a Consultant ENT / Head and Neck / Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Surgeon who is internationally renowned for his proficiency in complex facial and nasal surgery. Mr D'Souza's NHS base is University Hospital Lewisham in London, where he is the Clinical Lead and leads a highly advanced combined dermatology and facial plastic and reconstructive clinic. He is widely recognised by major national and international health insurance providers, thanks to the wealth of experience he has gained over many years.

After completing his foundational medical training at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India, Mr D'Souza embarked upon postgraduate specialty training in various teaching hospitals throughout the UK and Ireland, which earned him a dual certificate of completion of training (CCT) awarded by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges. He was awarded the distinguished TWJ Fellowship to San Francisco during his senior registrar training and also completed further training in Facial Plastic Surgery in Europe, the USA and Canada.

Mr D'Souza has held a number of societal positions due to his proficiency in medicine and surgery, including past President of British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery (BSFPS), and current President of The European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS). He has published widely in his field, including research and review articles in distinguished peer-reviewed journals and a number of book chapters.

Owing to his extensive experience, Mr D'Souza is a well known key opinion leader and often speaks at both national and international meetings. He also shares a passion for medical education, devoting his time as a teacher and an examiner for ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery postgraduate examinations. Mr D'Souza has also established a fellowship programme, which offers super-specialist Facial Plastic Surgery training to adequately qualified surgeons from all around the world.
