Mr Beechey-Newman is currently Consultant Surgeon to the Breast Unit at Guy’s and St.Thomas’ Hospitals and specialises exclusively in breast disorders including breast cancer, breast reconstructive surgery and all aspects of benign breast problems.

He was one of the first surgeons in the UK to perform sentinel node biopsy after visiting Dr Armando Giuliano who first described the technique. 

Nicolas also pioneered breast duct micro-endoscopy in Europe. He has researched and written extensively on these two subjects the latter being the subject of more than 2,000 media articles.

In 2003 Nicolas set up London’s first one-stop breast diagnostic clinic at the London Bridge Hospital. He now runs similar one-stop clinics at The Lister Hospital and at The Harley Street Breast Clinic where he is Clinical Director.
