| Profile | Professor Keith Britton qualified in medicine from Cambridge University and the Middlesex Hospital.
He was a Physician in General and Nuclear Medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital for 15 years and then became Professor of Nuclear Medicine in 1993, Emeritus in 2004.
As Director of the ICRF, then Cancer Research UK, he has always been involved in cancer research, diagnosis and treatment. As an advisor to the International Atomic Energy Agency, he has undertaken teaching missions around the world.
He was past President British Nuclear Medicine Society and Society of Nuclear Medicine, Europe and a founder member of the European Association of Nuclear medicine.
Professor Britton has trained doctors, particularly from the Gulf states, in Nuclear Medicine to MSc and PhD standard. |
