London Bridge Hospital awarded with MacMillan Accreditation20 April 2015
We are pleased to announce that on 16th March 2015, London Bridge Hospital was awarded with a MacMillan accreditation!
The MacMillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) was introduced by the charity in 2009 to assess whether cancer care environments meet the standards expected by patients undergoing treatment for and living with cancer. London Bridge Hospital is the first from the HCA to receive this prestigious award and Oncology Manager Jane Loughnane, believes that all HCA oncology facilities will want to achieve this award in the future.
The hospital was assessed on four different criteria and scored an average of 4/5 to meet the required standard:
Design and use of space
The user’s journey
This accreditation will help to reassure patients that London Bridge Hospital meets the high standards of patient care set by the award.
On receiving the award Jane Loughnane commented: “We are delighted to have achieved this recognition by MacMillan for cancer services at London Bridge Hospital”.
