London Bridge Hospital excels in insurance company patient review
London Bridge Hospital has excelled in a patient satisfaction review by private health insurance company BUPA, with 99% of patients describing their care as 'excellent' or 'very good', the highest within the HCA group.
When asked about the overall care they received within the first quarter of 2014, 99% of patients rated their care as 'excellent' or 'very good', which has increased by 4% since the last review at the end of 2013. 95% of patients said that they would be likely to recommend London Bridge Hospital to a family member, friend or colleague. 64% of patients rated the London Bridge Hospital admission process as 'excellent' whilst a further 29% rated their experience as 'good.' When discussing the cleanliness of the hospital, their room and wash room facilities 84% patients rated London Bridge Hospital as 'excellent' and 16% as 'good', whilst 73% rated the quality and range of facilities in their room as 'excellent.' The satisfaction review encompassed all services during the patient stay, with 64% of patients also stating that they found the quality of the catering provided to be 'excellent.'
Finally, the survery asked patients to review the discharge process, and clarity of the hospital regarding any extra charges or fees, for which London Bridge Hospital received a score of 'excellent' by 57% and 53% respectively. 92% of the patients reviewed said they felt they received enough time with their Consultant or nurse, discussing how to continue their care once they had left the hospital, with a further 98% stating they were given the appropriate contact details in case of a problem following their discharge.
