"As a full time private specialist knee surgeon who undertakes some specialist knee reconstructive procedures that very few other surgeons in the UK can actually perform, it is incredibly important to me that that team that I work with and the environment I work in provide the very highest possible levels of care and service, with the best equipment, the most efficient and well equipped theatre department and the safest possible wards, with the lowest possible infection rates.
The London Bridge Hospital is the very best hospital that I have ever worked in, and indeed London Bridge actually came top of the UK in BUPA’s own patient care questionnaire! I now only operate solely at London Bridge Hospital, and won’t operate elsewhere, quite simply because I want my patients to achieve the very best possible outcomes."

I have worked in the City now for over ten years and have been thoroughly impressed by the facility at 31 Old Broad Street which runs extremely smoothly for me and my patients. It is a fantastic facility being very well positioned within the middle of the square mile. The staff are very welcoming and professional and the musculoskeletal imaging support and radiology staff are fantastic. I strongly recommend using this facility."
Mr Simon Owen-Johnstone, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
I am a shoulder, elbow and hand surgeon. I’ve been based at London Bridge Hospital for over 10 years now. It was already very good when I first came and I have to say it has got better and better. The brand new facilities at The Shard opening in 2016 are particularly exciting, because we will have Musculoskeletal Consultants, high-tech imaging and specialist physiotherapists all working together in very close proximity.
To patients it simply feels like a five star hotel, where you can have an operation. Behind the scenes is a very complex organisation, where the quality and attention to detail coming from the senior management team keeps it all working perfectly. Surgery can be incredibly technical, complex and demanding. Working as part of a team at London Bridge Hospital makes that so much easier because everyone plays their part. It’s the hospital I recommend to my friends and family, and I recommend it for my patients too.
Dr Bernard Prendergast, Consultant Cardiologist

“London Bridge Hospital is a really good hospital with excellent facilities for inpatient and outpatient care. Having quick access to blood test results and diagnostics like MRI scans and ultrasounds means my job as a Rheumatologist is much easier. I can normally see a patient, request the tests that are needed and see them the following week with all the results, make a diagnosis and get the patient on the correct treatment quickly."
