Quality of care

I recently spent three weeks at London Bridge Hospital under the care of Mr Jonathan Lucas.

The quality of care I received throughout my stay was excellent and I am very grateful to all of the hardworking staff and support team for their efforts and commitment around the clock.

At Pret A Manger*,  we pride ourselves on delivering the best quick service retail experience on the high street and I have been trained to keep my eyes on the necessary details that underpin the delivery of amazing standards every day.

I saw many parallels with your day-to-day operations at London Bridge Hospital particularly with a proactive and friendly approach to patient care and a relentless commitment to hygiene and safety. I understand the effort this takes and wish to commend not only the nursing staff but also the cleaning, catering, porters, other support staff and senior management that quietly and effectively ensure the hospital runs 24x7.

I wish to share one story with you. At the height of my infection when I was consumed by pain and shaking uncontrollably, one nurse came into my hospital room, said nothing but simply held my hand to let me know that I was not alone. To me this is the essence of excellent nursing care. 

We are all rather busy, and I suspect that not enough people take the time and effort to acknowledge the very important work you and your entire team do. I want to let you know how much I appreciate it.
