Thoracic Surgery

The thoracic surgery facility at London Bridge Hospital provides patients with highly developed care, both before and after thoracic surgery. Services range from day-case treatments for relatively minor thoracic problems (mediastinoscopy, drain insertion, bronchoscopy) to major thoracic surgical procedures (chest wall resection, lung cancer surgery).
The thoracic surgery team comprises respiratory physicians, thoracic surgeons, anaesthetists, oncologists, radiologists and pathologists who are responsible for many of the latest advances in thoracic oncology, including lung cancer and mesothelioma. Consultants in the Thoracic Oncology Centre have specialised in the field of thoracic oncology, especially lung cancer and malignant pleural mesothelioma.

The Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma Clinic has been set up to provide rapid advice, diagnosis and treatment for anyone who may have a thoracic problem. Our aim is to offer this service in the most convenient and professional way. We offer appointments 5 days a week with the advantage of providing all thoracic care services under one roof.
