London Bridge Dialysis Unit

The dialysis unit has been established for over 25 years and has a worldwide reputation for the quality of care provided. Our dedicated Unit provides dialysis for local patients who are privately sponsored, patients from abroad and patients visiting London on holiday.

Renal service

Our Renal service provides facilities for treating patients with general nephrological conditions, in addition to patients presenting with Acute Kidney Injury and approaching Stage 5 Kidney disease who require haemodialysis.

The haemodialysis unit is supported by a fully trained nursing team and a renal RMO who are led by a team of consultant nephrologists. The unit runs a 24 hour on call service to cover any out of hour’s emergency dialysis treatment. In addition the dialysis unit staff also provides haemodialysis in the Intensive care unit providing support to the Intensive care team and those patients who require intermittent haemodialysis.

We also provide a live related/unrelated kidney donor programme to those patients wishing to pursue a renal transplant.

Kidney Transplantation

We offer live- related and unrelated kidney transplantation to overseas patients who are on dialysis or approaching Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease.

Our team consists of world –leading transplant surgeons and nephrologists, a highly qualified clinical team, renal trained nursing staff and a dedicated clinical renal nurse specialist.

We have a 4-bed dialysis unit manned by experienced dialysis nurses and supported by a renal RMO. We offer dialysis services whilst patients are undergoing the pre-assessment phase.

Our transplant services are supported by our cardiology, vascular and imaging services, all of which utilise the latest medical technology in a state of the art hospital setting. This ensures that any clinical concern that may occur in the work-up process can be referred quickly and seamlessly to the appropriate speciality.

Every case is reviewed by a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each patient receives the most appropriate care plan to attain the best outcome possible. Read more about our MDT meetings here
