A message from the CEO

John Reay

Chief Executive Officer

Introduction

Welcome to the latest edition of Health Matters Magazine, our opportunity to present articles

from our Consultants at London Bridge Hospital, and connect with you in terms of the services

that we offer to support you and your patients.

2012 has been a landmark year for us at London Bridge Hospital – we have completed our

refurbishment project, which has given us a state-of-the-art Critical Care Department with 15

critical care beds, and an Angiography Hybrid Lab. These two facilities allow us to offer outstanding

medical services, which are unparalleled in the private sector.

In addition to this, we have enhanced our Imaging Department, and now have the largest

MRI capacity of any private hospital in the UK, with seven scanners across our London locations.

As such, we offer patients rapid, same-day diagnostic imaging services. As well as the latest medical

technology, we also continue to invest in ways to make it easier for you to refer patients to us.

The launch of our iPhone app this year was the first of its kind for GPs, and has been followed

by an update to our website – demonstrating our commitment to providing the best possible

access for GPs to our information and services.

Our world-renowned Consultants are central to the care that we provide at London Bridge

Hospital. We are lucky to be located near to the most prestigious teaching hospital trusts, allowing

us to work with the leading Consultants in each field, as well as having access to the very latest

medical research.

We are dedicated to developing our relationship with you, our referring General Practitioners,

and responding quickly to feedback in order to meet your requirements. Our Medical Advisory

Committee is represented by two General Practitioners, and everyone from myself, through to

our Ward Managers and GP Liaison Team makes the most of every opportunity to spend time

with our referrers, and understand your needs so that we can deliver the best quality service

for your patients.

I wish to thank you for your continuing involvement

in the hospital, for the feedback you provide us, and

for the opportunity to care for your patients. I hope

that you will continue to work with London Bridge

Hospital, attend our events and regard us as partners

in your patients’ care.

With kind regards and best wishes.

Yours sincerely

John Reay
