The genito-urinary medicine clinic provides the following screening and therapy services to tackle a wide range of sexual health problems.

Sexual Health Screening

  • Asymptomatic and symptomatic screening (chlamydia, gonorrhoea, candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, syphilis)
  • Cervical screening
  • HPV (human papilloma virus) screening and vaccination
  • HIV testing
  • Hepatitis A and B screening and vaccination
  • HSV (herpes simplex virus) screening

 Therapy

  • Acute genital infections - chlamydia, gonorrhoea, candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, genital herpes, genital warts, urethritis, prostatitis and epididymo-orchitis.
  • Chronic/recurrent genital infections - candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis, genital warts, genital herpes and urethritis and prostatitis
  • Cryotherapy – genital warts and molluscum contagiosum
  • Erectile dysfunction – Viagra ™ and related agents
  • HSV couples counselling
